    1. Damn right they are. There's no mistaking the great big brutalist things. The details of the antennae match, and so does the slightly concave roof the middle one in the photo. I can't figure out where the photographer is standing. If I had to guess some highrise balcony or flat roof. Given the angle of the photo and the paucity of such in this part of the city, I'd go for a big ugly slab o' concrete around Rebecca West street. It even has something on the roof that might be the feature in the rightmost part of the photo.

  3. Blue neon could be a reference to mercury vapor, as mercury vapor is what is used to make neon sign lettering blue.

    1. Mercury is known to cause mental instability. Hat-makers of older times used mercury in the process of making hats. Prolonged exposure made them what we now call "mad as a hatter." It adds up.
